Overview
A subscription tracker that shows what you pay each month and year, when each renewal hits, and where you might save money. Built as a Next.js app on Supabase, with no bank or email connection: you add subscriptions yourself, and the app handles the totals, reminders, and an AI advisor that points out overlapping services. It is a web app and free during the beta, with no credit card required.
Challenge
Subscriptions are spread across cards, banks, and app stores, so most people never see the full total. The app had to show real spending across many currencies without mixing them, and remind people before renewals without asking for bank or email access.
Approach
Built as a Next.js web app on Supabase with Claude Code. Subscriptions are added manually, with no bank or email connection. Totals are kept separate per currency, email reminders go out the week before each renewal, and an AI advisor suggests savings such as cutting overlapping services or switching to a yearly plan.
Solution
A working subscription tracker with authentication, 150+ currency support, renewal reminders, category filters, CSV export, and an AI savings advisor.
